How do I request a tree to be planted?
Requests for new trees can be made in writing, by email or by calling the Arborist directly. The Tree Commission will review planting requests at their next regularly scheduled meeting. Specific species request will be considered. Affected property owners are responsible for the cost of new trees if one has never been planted in that location before. Trees planted as replacements are paid for by the Borough. The standard size tree is 1 ½” in caliper as measured six inches above ground level. Larger caliper trees may be requested if the affected property owner agrees to pay the added cost.
